25/09/05: In which there are suddenly a Lot More People

Tuesday, 20 December, 2005

It was Sunday. For some reason I woke up early but I decided to read instead—Ship of Magic (Liveship Traders Book #1 by Robin Hobb, lent to me by Panther). I did that for two hours before going downstairs.

When I did, I found that everyone else had already arrived and were gathered in the lounge room talking. I went and got myself some breakfast and then pretty much spent the rest of the day reading and knitting and getting sick of people.

In the afternoon, Peter, Lauren and Matthew arrived. Peter and Matthew are the younger brothers of Kristina and Louise. Lauren is Peter's girlfriend. I think I was online checking my email at that point.

Ben, who still wasn't sleeping very well, had to be woken up for lunch. We ate sandwiches and leftover pork.

In the lounge room, everyone was chatting away but later in the afternoon Kristina and her family had to go as Aaron had an assignment to complete for his study. I got a photo with Kristina as I figured I probably wouldn't see her again for a very long time:

Me and Kristina

After they left, I spent a bit of time talking to Peter, Matthew and Lauren. Then we all had dinner together—a big ham plus vegetables (cream cheese on cauliflower, beans and leftover mashed potato that had been fried). Once again I helped with the dishes and also got dessert.

Then Peter, Matthew and Lauren had to leave to back home. Ben went and watched some Canadian television. I went upstairs and read (and I think I actually finished the book) and then went to sleep.
