A very bloggy birthday

Reading Sunflower's post about presents today made me think idly of a great idea for a blog birthday present: a blog re-design. I'm not a designer and my skills with Photoshop are limited, so it would be lovely if one of my designer friends would take my blog and re-do it for me. They just need to make a mock-up; I'll actually implement the design (if I like it, that is!) Requests:
- Something in blue and white? (My favourite colour combination—which made the STGGHS uniform more bearable!) But when I say blue and white, I'm thinking of the blue and white of old china, homey rooms and cosey cottages;
- Something with curlicues? I'm a sucker for curlicues (like Epylogue.com, this design in CSS Zen Garden and that mobile phone ad with the wallpaper that I can't find);
- Three-column layout is preferred, but the Current blog on the right could be condensed (I could make it a box like Ben's blog archives);
- No graphics for headings, please! I like to be able to change the headings quickly and easily;
- The design must be able to be executed using graphics and CSS only;
- I need space for LibraryThing random covers (like Bec) and a LibraryThing searchbox;
- I should probably get with the flow and convert to individual blog entries instead of monthly. But I would still like to maintain monthly archives for the sake of my old links (which I couldn't be bothered updating).
Just so you know, my blog birthday roughly coincides with our wedding anniversary (29th January). Next year this blog will be 6.
