So we are now back safely from Melbourne, after a leisurely drive up the coast. I have done four loads of laundry, gone through 11 days of snail mail (which included Eight Days of Luke, A Sudden Wild Magic, notes from Sarah in England, a card from Deb, a present from Bec [a silver ankh!] and an invitation to dine with the bishop of Wollongong in September) and am currently trying to sort out 11 days of email and trying not to get stressed out by it. (Even though there is very little that I need to respond to or take action upon, large amounts of email still make me stressed and/or vague). My aunt is still living here and may be for quite some time. Her husband is coming out to visit in August and so we must move out of the house again. I'm wondering if it's better and less disruptive for us to find somewhere else more permanent. That way we don't encroach on anyone else's space anymore and we have our own space with which we can do whatever we please. The thought of packing and moving and booking removalists and retrieving all our on-loan furniture is too exhausting to think about. Because I cannot come up with a solution, I am currently refusing to think about the problem.
I thought I would post as entries a travelogue of Melbourne but I think, as it is now the early hours of Sunday morning, I shall leave that for when I've rested.
