Bye bye holiday

Monday, 05 July, 2004

Thursday, Friday and Saturday were all I could spare to take a break, and take a break I did. Thursday and Friday I slept in until lunchtime. Saturday I made myself get up earlier. I finished reading Dragonfield (Jane Yolen) and Treasures of the Snow (Patricia St. John) and we watched the original The Italian Job which wasn't as good as the newer version but it had its moments. I also spent some time sitting in the sunshine on our balcony writing letters which I posted this afternoon. I'm sure it's been years since I've written a proper letter, as opposed to a quick note. The German Club was okay (why is German food so colourless??). There was a band (if you could call one saxophone player, two guitar players and a tape deck a band) and dancing. Ben got fed up when they started the Macarena so we went home and I installed OpenOffice on my computer. Ben preached for 45 mins on depression at Towradgi Congregational Church on Sunday morning. I'm feeling sad for all sorts of reasons I can't think straight enough to sort through. This week is full of work and MYC prep and then we're straight into session 2.

Oops.

Was going to say, that I have been feeling a bit sad about things lately too.

My friends and I were trying to remember the macarena dance about a week ago.

Oops re. oops. I thought there was an error, but no. I’m done now.

Maybe it’s seasonal? :(

I’m not a big fan of the Macarena, it lacks a certain style.

It’s certainly overrated.
