FEVA (Fellowship for Evangelism in the Visual Arts) is a ministry directed at artists/graphic designers/architects/fashion designers/landscape artists, etc. They have groups that meet on all the visual arts campuses—Sydney College of the Arts, College of Fine Arts UNSW, UTS Design School, Faculty of the Built Environment UNSW, etc. They also have an architects group that meets in the city quite regularly. On top of that, they also run an evening service at a church in Petersham.

I came into contact with FEVA when I went to my first combined Unis MYC (Mid Year Conference) back in 1997. I didn't know much about them but thought they were very cool because they always had the funkiest name tags. Malcolm came down to Wollongong once and gave an evangelistic talk on the depiction of Christ in western Art which I've remembered ever since. Then Ben started working in the Faculty of the Built Environment and leading a Bible study group in that Faculty. In 2001 we went to MYC as part of FEVA and got to know them a bit better. The association grew to the point where we started supporting them financially and I started praying for them regularly. Last year, our good friend Naomi commenced MTS with them so we started supporting her too.

Next year we hope we will be involved in some way with their church but I don't know if it's all going to work out yet so I'd better not say much more!
