- Tim and Ros got married on the weekend. It was a very fun wedding, with Ros unashamed comments to Stuart carrying all over the church. Ben and I did an item during the signing of the register—“Christ Alone” (Ruth Buchanan) and “From Strength to Strength” (Charles Wesley/Ruth Buchanan). I stuffed up the lines in the last verse but no one noticed. The wedding reception was held at Audley Dance Hall in the national park. Unfortunately I left the memory stick out of our digital camera and so have photos to show you.
- We had dinner with Tim and Liz (the Roedigers, not Ben's brother and sister) and we played Dweebies which is a game Tim made up (previously incarnated as Holey Moley). They made us zucchini cake which was very ... interesting.
- How good is Hugh Laurie in Sense and Sensibility!
- My dad gave us his old Sony Handycam, thus realising Ben's dream to write, direct and produce short films. He created his first one yesterday. I laughed for the whole 10 minutes. Unfortunately it's 92 MB so you can't see it. Last night he even made a director's commentary for it.
- I want to make short films too!! (My goodness, don't I sound like a child in the throes of sibling rivalry!)
- I love my school friends! Anita is up from Melbourne so I drove up to Campbelltown last night to see her. Ramya was there too but Liwen was being a workaholic and couldn't join our merry party. Ramya was in the year below all of us and I don't know her as well as my other friends do but she's awfully fun to hang out with and, now that she's gotten hooked on Neil, she's trying to persuade me to go down to Melbourne next year for the Continuum 3 conference where we shall either crash with Anita or find some cheap backpacker accommodation. (NB I have never ever stayed in backpacker accommodation; how deprived am I!) “$80 isn't much!” she declared. We spent the evening talking about books and philosophy and movies and people we knew and it was just a scream and I don't think I've had so much fun in a long time. Afterwards we went to see The Village which I found extremely predictable had picked the ending long before it came, but Anita and Ramay didn't. I drove home through thick fog on Appin Road and was thankful to God I got back in one piece.
- I am in the middle of making a slideshow to advertise National Training Event at main meeting next week. Unfortunately we will be away in Coolum being visited by the fabulous Deborah and so I will be unable to see the reaction it gets.

This sort of multi-media stuff would probably provide more ministry opportunities than straight writing, so keep pursuing it!
I suspect in the future larger churches will begin to employee multi-media people to do their regular video work. Our church has its weekly news as a really professional multi-media presentation. It looks awesome!
Perhaps there is a ministry/business here?? Churches could send you material which you turn into a slick show for a reasonable fee…? Just a thought - your ministry vocation will turn out to be far more interesting than that of Joe Average Pastor. Thats my prediction…
