I finished my take-home exam for Biblical Set Books at 4 am Monday morning after an absolute shocker of a weekend. But despite all that, I was feeling rather good at college (if not a bit dopey). I taught a couple of the members of the Tasmanian mafia how to cut and paste using shortcut keys on their very fancy chunky expensive-looking Compaq laptops. They made me laugh because they were so grateful and delighted about all the time they would now save for previously they had done everything by mouse.
On Monday night Ben did a terrific seminar on depression at Christians in the Media church and I met Craig for the first time.
Today I went into Wigs International and asked them about selling my hair (they had called me back on Monday and said, “Sure you can sell your hair. We need at least 10 inches and it must not be permed or coloured.”) The door was locked but the lady came to let me in. She called someone upstairs and said, “Do you want to come down and see some hair?” She brushed it out and asked me how short I wanted it cut. Then another lady arrived and told me how nice my hair was (“Nice and straight—we like straight. Curly is too hard to work with.”) and said that they would have to cut off the bottom 20 cm because it was sun-damaged and a bit ratty. Because they need at least 10 inches, that meant that I would have to cut my hair off pretty much at the nape of my neck. I didn't really want that (Ben doesn't want me to have hair shorter than my shoulders). I did, however, ask them what they'd give me for it. “We'd have to weigh it,” they said. “We pay $15 per ounce.”
An ounce is 28.35 g. That's roughly half the weight of a tin of Keen's Mustard and 7.35g more than my soul. I'm thinking it's not worth it and that I should give it all to Locks of Love at Bane's suggestion.

Yeah, it was great meeting you guys “in the flesh” for the first time as well. I think we first met online around 3.5 years ago.
It was a strange experience talking to Ben before the seminar - knowing so much about his journey over the last few years, but only having just met in person. It was like talking to an old friend and a complete stranger at the same time…
Hey! You found a place to sell your hair! I should have sold mine!! I think I definitely had 10 inches…and it was so heavy too!
Ok, I’m going to grow my hair now so I can sell it…but I have about 15cm of slight colour in it…maybe I can convince them its natural ^_^
