Today we heard from Moore. I've been accepted to do the Diploma of Bible and Missions which is what I wanted to do. Ben, however, has been accepted to do the Diploma of Bible and Missions with the option to change to the Bachelor of Divinity at the end of the first year, provided he passes everything and goes for another interview. He seems fine with it but I guess I am a bit disappointed for him because he applied for the four-year degree and they don't think he's up for it. I guess they are doing the sensible thing and giving him a one-year trial to see how he goes, given he has depression. It does mean, however, I don't get the free wife year (which may be scrapped anyway so perhaps it doesn't matter). Back to being indebted to the government.

That’s a shame about missing the free wife year, but it’s excellent that you’re both going to go to college!

Where do you get free wives? I imagine that would be a little extra help around the house, eh.

(I’m sorry, that was terrible, wasn’t it.)

Yes, I have to say that was quite quite bad!!

Yes - it’s a shame.  It would be really good for them to express that he has the ability to do the four year program (which he does, as do you) by letting him in, but I understand their thinking too.  I’m reasonably confident that college is going to be a good environment for Ben, but I think you guys still need to re-assess how you spend your time (and make sure as introverts you have enough time alone to re-charge)!
Anyway, well done both of you.  I’m glad you got in.  The only loser here is AFES - losing you and losing my donation too smile Heheheh

Deborah - hahahaha…I thought it was funny =P

Karen - congratulations to you and Ben =) you will be studying with some great people! I think a few MTSers finishing up at UNSW this year are planning on applying for next year.
