Mnemonic

Monday, 15 January, 2007

It occurred to me this evening (as we sat eating a fabulous feast at Erin and Francis's in the company of Yvonne, Cameron [who will probably read this] and Jaden—ooh, we are so lucky!!!) that an unintended corollary of this blog acting as my mnemonic is that it also acts as a mnemonic for others. Francis remarked offhand that he couldn't really remember what happened at the International Christmas Feast but he could always go to my blog and read about what happened. I don't know why I continue to think that I live in isolation when in fact I am so much a part of a community, I swallow and digest its memories.

Second and less significant thought: I hope I never get tired of hearing other people's passions for things that I am less than passionate about (e.g. cooking). It's so fascinating.
