Stuff I've been making lately:

Urchin hat for Fiona—this one knitted with yarn spun by Marinka's grandmother (photos posted with permission):

... and for the daughter of a family friend (this one was made with Mecha Flame from Wool Connection):

Then I had some of that yarn left over—about 40 metres worth—so I thought I'd make a scarf. I wanted something like this but I don't crochet so I took the basic idea from this bookworm pattern and adapted it for a scarf. I cast on 400 stitches on 8mm needles, row 1 was k2tog, row 2 was k2tog and cast-off. This was the result:

which looks kind of weird. But when you double it around your neck, it looks like this:
