Right. So tomorrow we leave for Canberra at the ungodly hour of 6 am. It takes around 3 hours to get there but we can only drive at 100kph and we'll have Stacie in the backseat as well as our entire wardrobe which hasn't been boxed. Next up on our agenda is:
- two days of pre-conference goodness (“Go do student ministry! Student ministry is important! Student ministry needs you!”) where the presitigious Keith Birchley will be preaching on the 4 Ps (Proclamation, Payer, People and Pragmatism);
- five days of conference mayhem (over 900 registered for NTE—God help us!) during which I don't have to lead a strand group (yay!) but can join in on Strand 4: Ethics which I've never done before, and, in addition, David Cook (who I've never heard before) and Phillip Jensen will be preaching in the evenings and I will have some Elsie time God-willing;
- one day off (yay!!!);
- three days of mission at St. James Kippax (in Holt) which also includes carols on Sunday night which I'm supposed to be leading;
- breakfast and recap with the entire Wollongong team on the Monday;
- a leisurely drive back to Wollongong;
- a counselling appointment Monday afternoon;
- two days of work with post-work packing;
- one day of last-ever-staff-get-together-lunch plus full-on tidy-up-the-loose-ends packing;
- moving day on the Friday;
- RAID Christmas party in the afternoon;
- IBM carols in the evening;
- Elwin's 25th on the Saturday evening;
- My last-ever Sunday school lesson;
- Our last-ever service at St. Michael's
- three days of work, commuting from Sydney (hopefully one of them we're going to stay over at Hannah's place) and then it's THE END OF WORK!;
- day of rest;
- Christmas Eve with the Beilharz extended family;
- Christmas Day (breakfast with in-laws, lunch with my mother, possibly dinner with my dad);
- Boxing Day (when Ben preaches at Gymea Anglican in the morning and we enjoy our annual movie-outing at night with other ex-St. Georgians);
- nothing;
- nothing;
- nothing;
- nothing;
- New Year's Eve.
... and that's my December.
See you post-NTE. By the time I get back, I expect Ben A to be married and interesting blog posts from the rest of you about what I've missed.

And I thought I was busy!
I am looking forward to some Karen-time too! Yay!! Maybe we’ll be in the same strand groups as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Karen movie http://www.miramax.com/ellaenchanted/
And it looks like God has been merciful, because I’m getting married tomorrow…!
P.S. Check my blog for Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence thoughts (warning: perhaps spoilerish)
I don’t know, Philip, Ella Enchanted looked a bit cheesy. I hate it when they try to do fantasy films with American accents. At least she sounded like a true brit for Nicholas Nickleby.
Thanks for the warning, Ben! Not sure if I should read it but then when am I going to have a chance to actually see the film ...
