I hate it when you wake up in the morning earlier than you're supposed to and you can't get back to sleep for ages and then, just as you're getting back to sleep, the alarm goes off.
Happy Australia Day.
On the 218th birthday of our fair country, I trying vainly to get some transcription work done. I got 27 mins into the first tape and then it cut out and there was nothing. Plus Microsoft Word insisted I couldn't save anything since the C: drive was full. I went and cleared out 87 MB of stuff and it would still tell me it was full. I started on the second file and got 4 mins into it before it too blanked out. I started on the third file and it quite at 27 minutes too. And C: still didn't have any space on it. Something weird was afoot. I played Spider Solitaire for an hour and moaned. In the background, my long-suffering brain went to work and realised that Express Scribe likes to copy the entire MP3 file onto your hard drive; it doesn't like working from CD-ROM. And so, while it was filling up my C: drive, it was also blanking out the rest of the files (as I discovered when I played them in Windows Media Player). I uninstalled it and then thought I'd try this other program called F4. It wouldn't even load the file for me. So I thought I would reinstall Express Scribe and copy the entire MP3 onto the C: drive so it wouldn't have to. And then everything was fine except for the disappointing fact that, from 9:30 this morning when I got up and had a shower and ate breakfast to whenever I go to bed tonight (probably around 11:30), I have only been transcribing for 5.5 hours. 5.5 hours out of the 14 I was awake! I'm supposed to be doing 7 to actually pay my way!! This is supposed to be equivalent to my fourth working day and I'm not even getting the hours up!
Tomorrow I have my second counselling appointment and I'm going drive there because getting public transport takes 1 hr and driving takes 15 min (according to WhereIs). I hope it goes well; I'm not sure my counsellor and I are on the same wavelength.
Tomorrow Ben will also spirit me away to a secret location for a weekend that he has planned to celebrate our sixth anniversary! Yay us—we're six!!

Or you don't have to be so pedantic about sticking to the date but then it's not really the same, I reckon ...)
I am feeling rather stressed about Issue 09, the article[s] I haven't written yet and the design which I have in my head which must be translated into cyberspace. I have some wonderful photos which I washed all in blue last night using good old Microsoft Photo Editor but the background I want to use needs a touch of Photoshop gradients which I don't really know how to use.
