Snippets from my boring life

- 11 hours of sleep last night only leaves me feeling more exhausted.
- I spent two hours writing a lesson plan for my last ever Sunday school at St. Michael's.
- I've given notice to the real estate agent and changed the booking for the movers to Friday 17th December.
- We went to an AIM day yesterday and heard Peter Bolt preach on 1 Corinthians 7 (the first six verses mainly), Ray and Sandy Galea talk about partnership in ministry as a married couple, Amelia Clarke speak on “Reverential Sex” and Simon Manchester talk about “Hating and Loving Our Wives and Families”. I really enjoyed the talks and seeing people from other Unis/churches. It was also refreshing to hear so many talking about sex and its importance in marriage from the pulpit.
- Pete, Ben and I killed three and a half hours by walking to Newtown from Central the wrong way, convincing a Moore College student to let Ben use the bathroom and eating Thai food on King Street. We had Moore College orientation that night with an amusing skit, videos, devotion from John Woodhouse and other bits and pieces. We couldn't stay for the whole thing because the last train after the 9:38 was the 11:10 which would have gotte us home at 1 in the morning but we caught the bus with UWS MTS people and I was able to ask my questions to a Moore graduate.
- Why does Central station have those blue lights that prevent drug users from shooting up in the women's toilets and not in the men's?
- I've finished kniting my first ever drawstring bag. It looks like a blue and white honeypot. Yes, I know you now want to see a photo. Maybe.
- After finally making the Research and Innovation Division website look mostly compliant, ITS are still complaining about how non-compliant we are and so my manager has instructed me to make a compliant site next week so that they can see how bad UOW-compliant design looks and operates.
- Next week I shall have to change all the CAPSTRANS menus to Suckerfish dropdowns because the current menus have an annoying habit of continuing to appear when you print and the fix that the person who wrote the code sent me doesn't work.
- Me re-doing things that I have already done is very characteristic of my work at the Universityof Wollongong.
- The series that we have been doing on Forgiveness at church has been very helpful and interesting and I ought to blog about it someday.
- We are down to roughly 20 boxes of books (compared to the last time we moved when we had 25). That doesn't seem right; I'm sure I've accumulated more books since then. Maybe the boxes are bigger or we're getting better at packing them ...?

- I am looking forward to going to Moore College because of the people I will be able to see more often and form better relationships with (Dani will be studying with me—yay!!!) However, I am not an extrovert and I don't cope very well with change and I worry that I will never make good friends with any of the girls who will be in my year.
- I am not looking forward to going to Moore College because my life will change dramatically, I will have to go back to studying and being an undergraduate again, I haven't done an exam in nearly 10 years and I am worried about my own drive to get good marks (how do you get over something that six years of going to a selective school has drummed into you??)
- Tomorrow I am going to forget about packing and head to the city with some friends to see the Production I.G. Anime Exhibition which is free. I am also hoping to get a little Christmas shopping done and pick up some books for our graduating Sunday school children. In the afternoon I will go to my in-laws' place and wait for Ben who will drive me back into the city again for Leigh and Zoe's wedding.
- I must not procrastinate about packing.

Yay freeness!
The train is at 9:15 tomorrow, right? If I’m running late in the morning (shouldn’t be, Seumas usually gets bored of waiting and wakes me up at 7:30) I’ll catch the train from Coniston instead, probably the last carriage. So we can just find each other on the train.
Anime news:
My sister got the DVD box set of the 1980s original series of Astroboy =) We have had a wonderful time reminiscing and watching old episodes. She also bought one copy of “The Gokusen” - this one I actually like!!! About the female head of the yakuza who masquerades as a hapless homeroom teacher by day - that one is v. good!!

I know what you mean about procrastinating with packing - I move house in eight days, and I haven’t touched my store of worldly possessions!
