Steam boat Saturday

Monday, 07 November, 2005

Well, it was a full weekend of study—apart from church on Sunday and steam boat on Saturday (otherwise known as hot pot). Our Bible study group was running it because we wanted to have a go at doing evangelism together. We had it at Francis' mum's house and we all went there earlier in the afternoon to help chop up stuff. I've now shelled and de-veined my first raw prawns.

Francis' family all seem to be really into cooking and the food was just amazing. Many of our number had never had steam boat before and they got right into it. The thing is, you just keep eating and eating and don't realise how much you've eaten until you start to feel very full!

After dinner, Francis gave a short talk based on Luke 23 and we opened it up for questions. There weren't that many questions but all the guests who came asked at least one. Unfortunately there were a couple that we were hoping would come who didn't make it which was a pity but the ones who did come said that they enjoyed it and my friends at least are keen to watch the first Introducing God talk with me when we go away for the weekend in January.
