Supporters’ Dinner

Friday, 24 October, 2003

This Saturday is ECU's Supporters' Dinner and I am getting nervous. Why? Because, for this dinner, I have to produce:

One of the slideshows will be running during dinner and I've already made it. It consists of 211 slides—mostly photos that I've taken throughout theyear of staff members and students. The second slideshow is for when we do the staff interviews and it's going to be slightly more complicated. I haven't made it yet and I think it's that that's making me nervous. The third slideshow is to present the answers to the quiz. It's a fun one and I made it last night.

I spent most of Tuesday and Thursday nights doing the brochure and we're printing it this afternoon. The Clubs and Societies' photocopier does not do double-sided and I can see the whole production being a potential nightmare but we will see how we go. Phillip has just printed the quizes for me so that's one less thing to stress about.

I will be very glad when Saturday is over though, unfortunately, it is, once again, daylight savings.

Hope all goes well for you.

Can you catch up on the extra hour on Sunday afternoon perhaps?
Shalom,
Jan

It’s too bad one of the projectors wasn’t working, after all your hard work! Oh well, I guess God is also in control of things electronic and knows what is best for us. ;p

Thank you so much for the Murakami books, and especially the article! I’d never read an interview with him before, it was really interesting! Wind-Up Bird is going to be my de-stresser over the next few weeks. wink

See you Monday!

Hi, its a small world - Richard Chin talked the Church I went to tonight (here in Sydney) about your ECU supporters dinner.
Anyway - here a pic of him talking, but you can’t see him as I’m so far back in the Church (argh, had to wait for a friend).

So, Karen…how did it go?

Hi Karen,
It was really good.  The slideshows worked really well and we had fun with the quiz.
It was so lovely to see you and Ben.
I hope you enjoyed the night.
Hugs,
George

Philip, did you get a chance to talk to Richard? Did he remember you?

Nope.

I couldn’t see any functional purpose in talking with him.
