This is how it is

“I think you're doing really well. You know your limits and you know how to look after yourself—by doing something nice, something you enjoy. When I wake up in the morning, my ‘cup’ is about three-quarters full. I still might feel down occasionally or have a bad day but I've got room to cope with things that might upset me. But when you wake up in the morning, your cup is already full—full of all these things you've had to carry for a long time. So when things happen, your cup overflows. Of course you're going to feel overwhelmed and of course you're going to find things upsetting.”

That’s a fantastic quote.  It explains how I feel most of the time lately.  Sometimes there just isn’t any room left to deal with anything else.  And it’s not like anything particularly bad is happening - my capacity to deal with life is just full.

I went to the doctor the other day and he prescribed me some tablets which made my cup bigger! Woo Hoo!
