When I first got to know Ben and the Beilharzs, Tim (Ben's little brother) and Ros were just friends. They went to school together but she was in the year above. Soon enough they moved on to something more than friends. She became a regular part of the Beilharz household, accompanying us to Christmas Eve get-togethers and family birthday celebrations, and helping us pack and unpack whenever we moved. Ben was so struck by their relationship and the way Tim treated Ros that they got an honourable mention in his wedding speech. She was often asked to house sit when the senior Beilharzs were away on holiday because she didn't mind looking after the dog, the cat, the fish, the birds and the worms. Then she started going on holidays with them—even when Tim wasn't going too. Five years on, I am pleased to announce that my brother-in-law and his lovely girlfriend are now engaged! Congratulations Tim and Ros!
