Tired, but too hot to sleep

Tuesday, 12 October, 2004

Wow, we're in the middle of spring but it feels like summer; the heat is almost tangible and everything has that ultra-dry feel which seems like it will crackle and go up in smoke if you set a match to it. It is much nicer to sit here with my long wet hair next to an open window than subject it to the hair dryer. Paradoxically, at work it is so cold that I have to bring a jumper and wear it. I'm sure George would appreciate the air conditioning more than I do.
