Two new blogs

Wednesday, 19 May, 2004

Despite being seriously behind on my blog-reading, I have added two more blogs to my blogroll. I have this tendency to add already-existing friends/acquaintances rather than strangers; maybe it's my constant urge to squeal out, “Hey, I know that person!” (name-dropping and the like). Very silly, really. But also useful if they're already on my prayer list. So without further ado, I introduce you to Haoran who I met through Kere and subsequently got to know better during my time at UNSW (I made him late for CBS once by having lunch with him and forgetting that stuff starts on the hour there) and Greg who is the director of CASE and former editor of The Briefing. I met Greg because he came to SOCM (School of Christian Ministry—CBS's training time) to talk about studying literature (think it was that anyway). I got to know him better in subsequent years as me, Haoran and others trotted along to Matthias Media for writing group meetings every six weeks in the years of 2001-2002. It was Greg who gave me my first ever Garth Nix book (Sabriel). He has also given me some very interesting and valuable feedback on my writing and he also invited me with two others to read some of my poetry at a literary evening at New College which I really enjoyed. Must stop blogging and go to bed.
